Investment Professionals J. Jeffrey Assaf is Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of ICG Advisors (“ICG”) as well as Chairman of the firm's Investment Committee. In addition to setting the firm's strategic direction and managing client relationships, Mr. Assaf supervises portfolio construction and modeling. Prior to ICG, Mr. Assaf was a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns and Head of its Investment Consulting Group from 1996 through 2008. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Assaf was a Senior Vice President for the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. He graduated from the University of California Irvine with a BA in Psychology and received his MBA, with an emphasis in finance, from the University of Southern California. Mr. Assaf is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), a designation awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. Mr. Assaf serves on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations.
Robert B. Edelstein is a Managing Director of ICG and a voting member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Edelstein joined the Investment Consulting Group at Bear Stearns in 1998 as an Associate Director and Head Analyst. Mr. Edelstein’s prior responsibilities included portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Previously, Mr. Edelstein was an Analyst with Sherwood Financial Group, where he served on the Investment Committee for the company's fund-of-funds, assisted with the management of discretionary portfolios and was responsible for all accounting and performance reporting. Mr. Edelstein graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
Jonathan H. Blenner is a Managing Director of ICG and a voting member of the Investment Committee. He joined the Investment Consulting Group at Bear Stearns as Vice President and Senior Analyst in 2001. Mr. Blenner’s prior responsibilities included portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Previously, Mr. Blenner spent two years as an Associate at Jennison Associates, an institutional asset management firm in New York. Mr. Blenner graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Economics.
Eleftherios (Terry) Monis is a Director of ICG and a voting member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Monis joined ICG in 2010 and is primarily responsible for manager due diligence. Prior to joining ICG, Mr. Monis was a Vice President at Ivy Asset Management, a $5 billion fund of hedge funds, in New York and London. Mr. Monis’ responsibilities included manager research, portfolio management, and oversight of the firm's event driven and distressed debt research team. Mr. Monis graduated from Long Island University, C.W. Post with a BS in Business Administration and a double major in Finance and Management Information Systems.
Emily D. Lehrer is an Associate Director at ICG and a member of the Investment Committee. Ms. Lehrer joined the firm in 2012 and is primarily responsible for operational due diligence. Prior to ICG, Ms. Lehrer led the operational due diligence effort for Guggenheim Partners’ wealth management, fund of funds, and fund placement businesses. She holds a BA in History from Yale University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
Eric A. Sartwell is an Associate Director at ICG and a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Sartwell joined ICG in 2005. His responsibilities include portfolio construction, modeling, manager due diligence and client servicing. Prior to ICG, Mr. Sartwell was an Analyst at Bear Stearns for the Investment Consulting Group and an Analyst at RSM EquiCo Inc., a boutique investment bank. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BS in Mathematics and received his Master’s in Finance from the University of Tulsa.
Kemper Ohlmeyer is a Senior Associate at ICG and a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Ohlmeyer joined ICG in 2014. His responsibilities include portfolio construction, market analysis, manager due diligence, and client servicing. Prior to joining ICG, Mr. Ohlmeyer was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he worked with the Quantitative Strategies team. Mr. Ohlmeyer was also previously an Analyst at UBS Financial Services, where he worked in the Fund of Funds Portfolio Management group. Mr. Ohlmeyer graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where he received a BA in Economics. Mr. Ohlmeyer also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Edward Hackney is Director of Relationship Management and joined ICG in February 2016. He comes to ICG after spending five years as Director of Institutional Sales at BMO Global Asset Mgt. Mr. Hackney has extensive experience in the investment industry and has served as Head of Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations at three different firms: Froley Revy Investment Co, a convertible securities firm: Bradford Marzec, a long only fixed income firm; and Taplin Canada Habacht, a long only fixed income firm. He began his investment career with Shearson American Express in 1984. Mr. Hackney earned a BA in Political Science from Hanover College.
Jewelle V. Thornton is a Director at ICG and has been with ICG since its inception. Prior to ICG, Ms. Thornton was a Vice President at Bear Stearns and the Head of Administration for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Ms. Thornton was with Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. for nine years, where she worked as Head of Administration for the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. Ms. Thornton also spent five years with First National Bank of Chicago. Ms. Thornton graduated from Howard University with a BA in Economics. Ms. Thornton and Mr. Assaf have worked together since 1988.
Kimberly Scott-Moseley is an Associate Director at ICG and has been with the firm since its inception. Ms. Moseley’s responsibilities include administrative operations and client management. Prior to ICG, Ms. Moseley was with Bear Stearns as an Administrator in the Investment Consulting Group. Before that, Ms. Moseley was a Registered Sales Assistant at Smith Barney. She began her career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1993. Ms. Moseley graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in English & Creative Writing.
Diana V. Bouch is an Associate Director of ICG and has been with the team since 2007. Mrs. Bouch is responsible for the Marketing and Business Development Operations. Prior to ICG, Mrs. Bouch worked as due diligence manager for the Investment Consulting Group at JP Morgan. She also previously worked as a Marketing Associate and Manager of Investor Relations for Private Fund Vehicles at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. Mrs. Bouch graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in business administration, emphasis in Marketing.
Allison Petchenick is the Chief Compliance Officer of ICG. Ms. Petchenick is responsible for the overall firm compliance and also serves on the investment committee. Prior to ICG, Ms. Petchenick was the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer of B. Riley & Co., LLC and B. Riley Capital Management for more than ten years. Ms. Petchenick also previously worked as the Operations Manager for Bel Air Investment Advisors, LLC and JB Oxford. Ms. Petchenick graduated with a BSE in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of California.
