J. Jeffrey Assaf

Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer

J. Jeffrey Assaf is a Senior Managing Director as well as the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee Chairman of ICG Advisors. In addition to setting the firm’s strategic direction and managing client relationships, Mr. Assaf supervises all portfolio construction and modeling. Prior to founding ICG in 2009, Mr. Assaf was a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns and Head of its Investment Consulting Group from 1996 to 2008. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Assaf was a Senior Vice President at Oppenheimer & Co. where he founded the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. He is a graduate of University of California, Irvine (B.A., Psychology) and University of Southern California (M.B.A., Emphasis in Finance). Mr. Assaf is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), a designation awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) in conjunction with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Assaf serves on the Boards of Directors for several non-profit organizations.

Robert Edelstein

Managing Director

Robert Edelstein is a Managing Director and voting member of the Investment Committee. His responsibilities include proprietary fund management, portfolio construction and modeling, manager due diligence, and client servicing. Prior to founding ICG in 2009, Mr. Edelstein was an Associate Director and Head Analyst of Bear Stearns’ Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Mr. Edelstein was an Analyst with Sherwood Financial Group where he served on the Investment Committee for the company’s fund-of-funds, assisted with the management of discretionary portfolios and was responsible for all accounting and performance reporting. Mr. Edelstein is a graduate of University of Southern California (B.S., Business Administration, Emphasis in Finance).

Jonathan Blenner

Managing Director

Jonathan Blenner is a Managing Director and voting member of the Investment Committee. His responsibilities include portfolio construction and modeling, manager due diligence, and client servicing. Prior to founding ICG in 2009, Mr. Blenner was a Vice President and Senior Analyst of Bear Stearns’ Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Mr. Blenner was as an Associate at Jennison Associates, an institutional asset management firm in New York. Mr. Blenner is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A., Economics).

Eleftherios (Terry) Monis

Managing Director

Terry Monis is a Managing Director and voting member of the Investment Committee as well as the head of research and manager due diligence. Prior to joining ICG in 2010, Mr. Monis was a Vice President at Ivy Asset Management where he focused on portfolio management and oversight of the firm’s event driven and distressed debt research team. Mr. Monis is a graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post (B.S., Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems).

Allison Petchenick

Chief Compliance Officer

Allison Petchenick is the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining ICG in 2016, Ms. Petchenick was the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer of B. Riley & Co., LLC and B. Riley Capital Management. Previously, Ms. Petchenick was the Operations Manager for Bel Air Investment Advisors, LLC and JB Oxford. Ms. Petchenick is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of California (B.S.E., Business Administration).

Jewelle Thornton

Director

Jewelle Thornton is a Director whose responsibilities include administrative operations, client management, and employee oversight. Prior to joining ICG in 2009, Ms. Thornton was a Vice President at Bear Stearns and Head of Administration for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Ms. Thornton was with Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. where she worked as Head of Administration for the Oppenheimer Consulting Group. Ms. Thornton is a graduate of Howard University (B.A., Economics) and has worked alongside Mr. Assaf since 1988.

R. Edward Hackney, Jr.

Director

Edward Hackney is a Director whose primary responsibility is to oversee the firm’s business development efforts. Prior to joining ICG in 2016, he was a Director of Institutional Sales at BMO Global Asset Management. Mr. Hackney has extensive experience as the Head of Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations for three different firms: Froley Revy Investment Co, Bradford Marzec, and Taplin Canada Habacht. He began his investment career with Shearson American Express in 1984. Mr. Hackney is a graduate of Hanover College (B.A., Political Science).

Emily Lehrer

Director

Emily Lehrer is a Director and a voting member of the Investment Committee. Her primary responsibility is manager operational due diligence. Prior to joining ICG in 2012, Ms. Lehrer led the operational due diligence efforts for Guggenheim Partners’ wealth management, fund of funds, and fund placement businesses. She is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., History) and University of Chicago (M.P.P., Public Policy).

Eric Sartwell

Associate Director

Eric Sartwell is an Associate Director at ICG and a member of the Investment Committee. His responsibilities include portfolio construction and modeling, manager due diligence, and client servicing. Prior to joining ICG in 2005, Mr. Sartwell was an Analyst at Bear Stearns for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, he was an Analyst at RSM EquiCo Inc., a boutique investment bank. Mr. Sartwell is a graduate of Texas Christian University (B.S., Mathematics) and University of Tulsa (M.S., Finance).

Kimberly Scott-Moseley

Associate Director

Kimberly Scott-Moseley is an Associate Director whose responsibilities include administrative operations and client management. Prior to joining ICG in 2009, she was an Administrator at Bear Stearns in the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, Ms. Scott-Moseley was a Registered Sales Assistant at Smith Barney. She began her career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1993. Ms. Scott-Moseley is a graduate of California State University, Northridge (B.A., English & Creative Writing).

Kemper Ohlmeyer, CAIA

Associate Director

Kemper Ohlmeyer is an Associate Director and member of the Investment Committee. His responsibilities include portfolio construction and modeling, market analysis, manager due diligence, and client servicing. Prior to joining ICG in 2014, Mr. Ohlmeyer was with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he worked with the Quantitative Strategies team. Previously, he was an analyst at UBS Financial Services, where he worked in the Fund of Funds Portfolio Management group. Mr. Ohlmeyer is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis (B.A., Economics).

Justin Levine

Associate Director

Justin Levine is an Associate Director at ICG whose responsibilities include operational functions, procedural strategies, portfolio construction and modeling, and client servicing. Mr. Levine joined ICG in 2009 and is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania (B.A., Psychology).

Diana Bouch

Associate Director

Diana Bouch is an Associate Director whose responsibilities include marketing and business development operations. Prior to joining ICG in 2007, Mrs. Bouch was a due diligence manager at Bear Stearns for the Investment Consulting Group. Previously, she worked as a Marketing Associate and Manager of Investor Relations for private fund vehicles at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. Mrs. Bouch is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University (B.A., Business Administration, Emphasis in Marketing).

Brent Josephson

Senior Associate

Brent Josephson is a Senior Associate and member of the Investment Committee. As a member of the research team, his responsibilities are to source and evaluate investment opportunities and analyze markets. Mr. Josephson joined ICG in 2010 and is a graduate of Emory University (B.B.A., Finance, Real Estate). Brent enjoys competitive golf and is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Patrick Leavitt, CFA

Senior Associate

Patrick Leavitt is a Senior Associate whose responsibilities include portfolio construction and modeling, business development, manager due diligence, performance analysis, and client servicing. Prior to joining ICG in 2016, Mr. Leavitt was an Analyst at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. regional offices. He has been practicing individual and institutional investment management for four years. Mr. Leavitt is a graduate of The College of William and Mary (B.B.A., Finance, Economics).

Michael Cameron

Senior Associate

Michael Cameron is a Senior Associate and a member of the Investment Committee. As a member of the research team, his responsibilities are to source and evaluate investment opportunities and analyze markets. Prior to joining ICG in 2015, Michael was a Research Associate at GWI where he specialized in water infrastructure in the offshore oil and gas industry. Michael’s other research and published work focused broadly on combating the infrastructure gap in developed/emerging markets. Michael is a graduate of Oxford University (M.S., Contemporary India, Politics and Economics) and Swarthmore College (B.A., Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies Minor). Michael played varsity baseball at Swarthmore College and received a blue in lacrosse at the University of Oxford.

Melissa Rhone

Associate

Melissa Rhone is an Associate whose responsibilities include operations and client servicing for the firm’s proprietary solutions. Prior to joining ICG in 2014, Ms. Rhone was a Vice President at Bear Stearns. In her role, she managed a team that directed various lines of business including hedging oil futures on the NYMEX, servicing high net worth individuals and working directly with private and proprietary investment managers. Ms. Rhone is a graduate of University of California, Irvine (B.A., Social Ecology).

James Neshek

Associate

James Neshek is an Associate whose responsibilities include performance and risk analysis, portfolio construction and modeling, and client servicing. Prior to joining ICG in 2015, Mr. Neshek was a Senior Financial Analyst at Cydcor, LLC in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of University of Southern California (B.S., Business Administration) and Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at University College Dublin (M.S., Finance).

Shanan Reiff

Associate

Shanan Reiff is an Associate whose responsibilities include portfolio construction and modeling, performance reporting and analysis, and client servicing. Ms. Reiff joined ICG Advisors in 2015 and is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles (B.A., Economics).

Zhan Yang

Associate

Zhan Yang is an Associate at ICG Advisors whose responsibilities include accounting and financial reporting, performance and risk analysis, portfolio construction and modeling, and client servicing for the firm’s proprietary solutions. Prior to joining ICG in 2015, Mr. Yang held roles in fund accounting at SEI and performance analysis at Nuveen and Capital Group. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (B.A., Finance).

Aditya Prakash

Associate

Aditya Prakash is an Associate and a member of the Investment Committee. As a member of the research team, his responsibilities are to source and evaluate investment opportunities and analyze markets. Prior to joining ICG in 2017, Mr. Prakash was a CDP Tech Analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. for Corporate & Investment Banking. He is a graduate of BMS College of Engineering (B.E., Information Science and Engineering) and UCLA Anderson School of Management (M.S., Financial Engineering).

Teresa Dekker

Administrative Assistant

Teresa Dekker is an Administrative Assistant and Receptionist. Prior to joining ICG in 2012, she worked for decades in Publishing as a writer and editor for magazines. Previously, Mrs. Dekker worked in Radio, Advertising and Corporate Communications. She is a graduate of Illinois State University (B.A., Broadcast Journalism). In her free time, Mrs. Dekker does “anything and everything creative,” including designing a greeting card line, photography, improvisational cooking, and writing about life stories.

Ichiro Maruta

Operations Associate

Ichiro Maruta is an Operations Associate whose responsibilities are to administer and improve the firm’s financial reporting systems and investment analysis data. Prior to joining ICG in 2014, he held multiple positions in systems, trading, and operations for various private and institutional wealth management firms. Mr. Maruta is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (B.A., Finance, Real Estate, and Law).
